In the past 90 years, Ideal Gear and Machine Works has created, innovated, patented and manufactured technologies used worldwide in industries ranging from commercial fishing and marine, cement and aggregate, mining, oil and gas, pulp and paper, power generation and others. Now they look forward to the next 90 years to continue expanding their horizons starting with the purchase of over $6 million USD of new tooling and equipment to produce gearing for wind turbines and specialty high precision speed increasers for new fuel cell technologies.

What started small is now not only the leader in local Vancouver gear production but a world-wide industry leader in manufacturing components and complete drives for some of the most demanding applications industry has to offer. With a long term and elite production, engineering and inspection staff of approximately 40 people, they are the first call for numerous major OEM manufacturers worldwide for precision gearing and components. Not to mention that they are proud of what they do and invite clients to take a tour of the facility to show their capabilities first hand.
